as we continue our journey to find a brick and mortar for the mess, it’s important that our space can accommodate bands and their needs for accessible and effective practice rooms.
our vision for the mess’ practice rooms:
- a space that has a generic backline (drum kit without cymbals, bass amp and 2 guitar amps) available for the musicians who use the space, making sure more time is spent practicing instead of loading in and out.
-a monthly payment accompanied by a booking portal where musicians can either commit to the same time each week for that month, or book the room to accommodate their fluctuating schedules.
we’ll offer 2 different practice room plans:
basic plan includes 20 hours each month
advanced plan includes 30 hours each month, in addition to discounted recording rates at our on-site studio, early access to workshops and gigging opportunities, option to practice on the stage once a month
practice times would likely run monday-thursday, open-close, on non-show days at the mess.
pricing has not been totally solidified but we are currently projecting for $200-300/mo and $300-400/mo respectively per plan.we will also offer a la carte space rentals for $15/hr as an option for folks if a monthly plan doesn't fit within their framework.
